I was thinking the same, then I thought, how does it actually work as a spectacle? And it doesn't. There's no sprinting for the line, just TTing up, it's pretty much impossible to know or convey who's winning until you've crunched a load of data

Stop.and think about it and you will realise it's pure genius. May need to tweak the points . You also have a wider range of possible scores left available. Getting caught on the last big climb after being out all day may be saved if you still.score

The time of the third rider to finish in a team is what counts to GC time. You’ve got to really work as a team to win and you can’t just have one outstanding GC man.

The mvdp stages were fun but it felt like there were lots of them in week 1. Sprinkle them about a bit more.
