How to remove ABUS lock bracket (TekFX)

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how to unwind an ABUS TekFX mounting bracket? I'm trying to remove it from one bike and put it onto another. Any tips?

With most ratchet systems you can gently hold down the tooth with a screwdriver and pull out the belt. I don't own a Abus lock though, so get more advice before taking a screwdriver to it.

iirc under the end cap is an allen socketed ratchet. You undo it to release the tension on the strap. I did have a similar Abus one where you pushed the whole cylinder upwards so the ratchets disengaged and off it came.

Edit: If you click on the video link on the web page you've given it shows the fitting process. Removal could simply be the reverse

Must admit that is a neat little device - but don't really see the point for a cable lock - why not just thread the cable through the saddle rails and carry the lock next to your saddlepack?
