I had an incident today where I was undertaken dangerously by an extremely aggressive person - the usual Russian mafia type driving a large black limo - on Westminster Bridge leading into Parliament Square. I tapped on his window as I passed him in the jam going around Parliament Square to let him know that was not OK driving, then he followed me and wedged me off the road for a bit of verbal abuse. All this is caught on camera - I will review it tonight to see whether worth reporting. But if I do decide to report, what is the best way to do so? Is it Form 966 of the Metropolitan Police? And what do I do with the camera footage?

It was the few centimetres of room given that I objected to. But you seem to know all about it, you must have been there!
then consider yourself lucky you didn't get hurt..and you got to your destination safely.don't try to police the roads from your saddle because you're gonna become unstuck...just throw him the w*nker sign...and get on with it:okay:

it won't help the situation..but it won't change it either..you think you can banish all dangerous drivers from the road?.never going to happen.

I have reported video footage to roadsafe and have had the police involved and disciplinary taken place.

I didn't tap on windows but it is worth reporting dangerous driving.

Why did you feel it necessary to tap on his window? What did you hope to gain from it? Clearly you gained nothing and may even have placed yourself in danger.

It's not a case of standing up. It's a case of maximising opportunities to keep oneself free of harm, and to risk placing oneself in further danger to complain about someone else placing you in danger in the first place seems a bit bizarre.

It's all on camera, if it were genuinely that dangerous then let someone else do the leg work.

Whether or not tapping on the window is wise, the suggestion that after you've nearly been killed by a vehicle tapping on the window makes you the one who's the aggressor is as ridiculous as it is hilarious.

I tapped on a drivers windows on my commute home last night..... to politely inform the female behind the wheel that her rear near-side tyre was completely deflated and close to parting company with the wheel rim. ^_^

Other that that I, personally, would not do such a thing to a vehicle being driven by an idiot as, has been mentioned above, is likely to put you in further danger if things escalate.
