For me i feel stonking fit.I cannot believe it.I feel twenty years younger, never thought having gallbladder out would make such a difference.Ok i am cutting out crappy fried food, ale, cakes, bisquits. But having a bit of chocolate and latte coffee.A treat of a triple belgian muffin now and again. But the new slimline me is astonishing.First ride out was a slow trip to Otley.Where i bagged the back wheel off three blokes riding as Garforth Wheelers. Two days later in that fantastic spell of sunshine a rocket of a ride to Easingwold.28 mins into Wetherby best figures ever. Two hours into the village of Easingwold 32 miles. Two more mins to get into the little park for our drink.Next day back to Otley where i left and kept having to stop for my mate to catch up.Best ride ever out of Otley.Road works could have helped we were kept away from the motorists via red cones. And finally sorted out my neighbours three lawns and some heavy weeding for him and including our own garden. And not to forget the exercising i am doing to build up muscle definition on my legs.
Looking back best thing that has happened was having the vomitting episode. Then finding gallstones.Incredible.

Haven't had anything removed but like the OP I am also probably at the fittest I've ever been in my life. The proof of this is that for the first time ever I am presently whupping my usual cycling buddy who is spending most of our rides hanging on my back wheel and moaning, instead of the other way round as in the past.

I think the reasons are the purchase of a CX bike as winter trainer and the use of a turbo through the winter, followed by riding the Cape Argus in early March. Not only that but I'm new to road riding and still building muscle and experience.
