Nope. Having a child's got literally nothing to do with her choice of races. She never runs in 'games' as there's no money. She'll run in city races though as there is money there. Then she can take that money and go and live in tax exile in Monaco. How wonderful.

patriotism vs. capitalism - not exactly sure which one has the obvious 'moral high-ground' - in any case, this is completely irrelevent to the question of Hoy and the Games, and isn't even about cycling. Why not take your obsession with Paula Radcliffe elsewhere where I am sure people will be pleased to discuss it (yet again...).

I'd have thought the honor and prestige of being a national champion would equal very high sponsorship which would make it more than worth racing.
