Well done to the Clarets (sorry Longers mate!) on getting to the top flight for the first time in 33 years! That's one easy away game for us to get to next season anyway.
Burnley thoroughly deserved the win. I went down to Wembley and they could've easily got 2 or 3 goals. We were outplayed and outsung and the better team clearly won, if I'm honest about it.

How much does it cost to Oldham?
I get the feeling Burnley are gonna cause a bit of havoc next year a'la hull!

Glad Hull have stayed up.
Shame on Sheff Utd not getting up, bet our old manager Stan Ternant is gutted he didn't stay with Burnley now.

And bless all the Geordies.

Losing to the Man Utd reserve team was a right kick in the ballcocks.Lucky that Newcastle have been crap this season.

Wasn't a great performance by City. However if that lovely man Sir Alex  would like to lend us Wellbeck or Gibson for next season

Or for that matter pretty much anyone ManU put on the pitch.

Who is the best manager in the Premiership ?

Martin O'Neil perhaps or Moyes ? I can't help thinking that even if Man U, Liverpool or Chelsea had me as the manager they would still end up in the top 4, so I can't really think it is Fergie, Rafa or Hiddink ! I think Wenger is pretty good though - he brings talent through the club quite often rather than just buying it in..

Where do you think you stand next season?

Do you think Phil Brown is any good?

I know it's easy to criticise as it must be very difficult for a team like Hull to survive in the Premiership.

You are joking with O'Neil, shurely? It was pointed out that they finished the season one point better (or maybe worse, I cannae remember) than last season. Not too bad you might think...until you recall that he spent £50 million or so in the transfer market and they had a worse home record than West Brom who were relegated. Didn't they win only one game after Christmas or something daft like that? A man who, having tried all last season to get into Europe, then puts out a weakened team in the UEFA cup to concentrate on the domestic league! Words failed me at that point. A man who assumed Emile Heskey could still hack it at the top level? No, his reputation declined drastically in the last months of the season.

For my money, Roy Hodgson stood head and shoulders above everyone else in the season just ended.

What was that thing with David Moyes when he went 'stum' during an interview earlier in the season? I was in England and watched MotD and thought how bloody ridiculous he looked (I had previously admired him), like a scolded schoolboy! B)

I hate to agree with you but in this case I have to B) I'd always thought well of O'neill until this season but the UEFA decision was bizarre. I'm sure he would argue that his smaller squad size means he's not able to rotate players but that's countered by the fact the team fell to pieces after Xmas. They even took an OG to beat Newcastle who I'd fancied to turn 'em over so bad had Villa become.

While we're on the subject of football, may I just wish the football gods in their infinite wisdom favour Barcelona with much fortune tonight.

Phil Browns record is actually good. Took over mid-season 06/07 (he was assistant at the time) when we were struggling in the championship and kept us up on the last day at Leeds expense (hahahaha!!). Gained promotion the following season. Kept us up again (just) this season.
We do have a very supportive owner in Paul Duffen and a they appear to have a excellent relationship. Probably similar to Southgate/Gibson at 'boro.
I like the guy. Marlon King was ejected due to off-pitch shenanigans and there has been a falling out with fans hero Deano, so he was sent off on loan. So his players will behave. His own pitchside antics has got his wrists slapped though, I don't mind as it shows his feelings for the club.
I'm under no illusions that it will be another tough season. No big budget, but little debt either. We need 4/5 quality players during the summer to have a chance. No easy task to attract them in. Couple of far eastern gents picked up on the summer Asia Cup competition we are going to maybe?

Hull have surely shot their bolt and are now found out

Burnley are unching way above their weight for all their qualities and are stright back down

Sheffield and Leeds can rot in their divisions like the cheating whining scumbags they are
