Has anyone bought one of these?

I saw an ad in Cycling Plus and after a look at their website they seem pretty good value.

However I've not heard of them and all contact with them is via e-mail only: no address or phone number. hmmm...

Just had a look at their site,

Their products do look good. It does seem a bit strange that they provide no number or address 'to keep costs low' ??? You can email them, and they will phone you...and I bet when they do, it will be a 'with-held number'.
I'd be cautious.
Without even a land-line number, you have absolutely no guarantee of getting your money back if you have a problem.

That's what I was thinking BB: even if their customer support is web/phone based, it is suspicious that they don't disclose the address of their registered office.

I'll be steering clear!

Couldn't find that TS: there are a couple of reviews of their tops but nothing about returns or contact.

I've sent Hultra an e-mail to get their side of the story and post it here.

As I said above, I contacted Hultra, and with their permission, copy our correspondence below:

I saw you ad in September's Cycling Plus and had a look at your
website: your jerseys look good and are reasonably priced.

However I have some concerns and so I am contacting you to see if you
can satisfy them.

In short, you publish no addresses or phone numbers.

I readily appreciate that you want to keep costs down and that you may
not have the staff for a dedicated phone line, but for a new company
with no "track record" to not even publish the address of it's
registered office is troubling.

It is best practice when shopping on-line to steer clear of retailers
without a landline and an address (not a PO box).

I'm don't wish to suggest that you are involved in anything dishonest,
but just to bring this matter to your attention in the hope that you
can deal with it: as I've already said I like the look and price of
your jerseys and I would like to support a British company.

I look forward to hearing from you presently.

Thanks for the email. It's a fair point that you make and one that I tossed around a lot before launching the web site earlier this year. The fact is that we're a small start-up business run from a residential address and I'm not keen to publish our home address to the whole world via the internet. It was a case of balancing this against the credibility side of things and we opted to keep it simple for now and then re-assess after a while. We do put our address on invoices and returns.

I hope this helps put your mind at ease a bit?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I understand your position and wish you every success.

Do I have your permission to post our correspondence on the Cycle Chat
forum: I started a thread raising the concerns I expressed in my first
message (search for "Hultra" and you'll see it).

I had a look at the thread and no problem if you want to put our reply on it.

That sounds pretty good, can understand their position. I still like the look of them, if I had a few quid spare I'd have one.

All the pictures seem to be of long-sleeved jerseys, the description seems to be of a long-sleeved jersey, but the product name says short-sleeved.

I'm not sure what I'd be getting if I ordered something. Mr Hultra, if you're reading this, can you clarify? Nice jerseys by the way.

EDIT: the description does say short sleeved. And there is a pic of a short-sleeved jersey on the homepage.

I am going to sit in the corner and think about what I've done.

Yeah, I had to look twice HB: white tops on white dummies don't stand out.

I did read that they will have long sleeved tops out soon.

Agreed, they do look good: the mis-printed ones look even better value...

Summer has gone and long sleeves are becoming the thing again ( I don't hold with those arm warmer things ). I didn't spot the white arms, I thought they were white sleeves!

The jerseys look great, slightly but not too much, retro...but need long sleeves, I am in England for crying out loud. T-Shirts get worn the few days a year that they can be!

All the same, WANT (but long sleeved...)

I queried them on that and they said they will have a wind-proof, fleece lined long sleeved version in about a month's time and a lightweight jacket in 2 wks or so. In the meantime I ordered a short sleeved from their bargain section in readiness for next summer!
