Blob of any colour and then a nice tidy sticker, how about one with your blood type in it.

Painting has been or was part of my business for many years, teaching about it as well and I will say a touch up is just that.

That from here looks like a mica finish and is certainly lacquered over a Matt base coat.

Why is that ?

Ah, mica, my guess was a pearl. Subaru do a white mica touch up.

With 7 different variations of the same colour. Now I could go on about nozzle size, air pressure, distance, left to right, right to left or diagonal, even practical lay down. But that would be boring^_^
Because you can dab on one coat and it's tough as nails. You can pick nail varnish off and Halfords rattle cans need more work.
Spray the rattle can into the lid and touch in. Neither way is going to give an invisible repair.

Experimenting with enamel on small chips we found although hard it did not flow well into the damage unless thinned, this allowed for moisture to get behind it.

See my explanation, it is plenty tough enough for a small stone chip.

Fine I did not say it did not blob on, I just gave my opinion. Again I will say neither will make a chip disappear.

Thanks for all the info, guys! Some interesting discussions and advice here. I guess I'm going to have to get some testers and try and match up the best I can. Many thanks for the informative, and interesting banter. Ya learn something new every day

Dab a bit of paint on it and apply a strip of helicopter tape.
it will prevent further damage and as its clear so you wont notice it...plus the repair will be almost invisible .
