Rather uselessly, my PD-T400s are on my turbo bike at the moment.

The problem of legality does bother me a bit. When riding in the dark I'm always well lit and have plenty of reflectives but theres a nagging concern that my technically illegal status due to having no pedal reflectors may be a problem. Obviously I'm not all that concerned or I'd move the pedals off the turbo.

I've also just found these PD-T8000 they are also flat/SPD combined

Ive also seen clip on reflectors for SPDs, and blanking plates that have reflectors and clip in to the SPDs on one side. Never tried them as they look a bit flimsy. Pedals lead a hard life.

Check out the Shimano PD-EH500. They're a popular choice SPD on one side, flat with reflectors on the other. They're less clunky than many others but still functional. Wellgo also makes similar models that might be worth a look.

I have the EH500 pedals on my bike and they don't have reflectors.

I've just checked the Shimano website and the only SPD pedals they currently do with reflectors are T421 and T8000 both of which are single sided.

Retroreflective toe covers like the old PlanetX ones I have, socks (if visible) and anything else on your legs works well for visibility in the dark, as they are often moving.

It's a bit "boil in the bag" unless it's subzero, but the completely retroreflective Boardman gillet/jacket lights you up like an Xmas tree!

Also got some retroreflective PlanetX lobster gloves.

I thought the Boardman brand used to do some pedals that were flats on one side and SPD on the other, but I can't see any Boardman pedals on the Halfords site now.
