But it always got you where you were going. I'd rather than than something soft touch and tactile that broke a lot, like my old 7 series.
True enough, or it did till the owners son reversed it into the undergrowth at close to 60mph. That was just before his daughter wrote her Lupo off against a crash barrier on the A40.

Nice kids though, that was a few years ago and they've settled down now.

Well observed. Idiotic car reviews prattle on about "quality" with regard to that sort of thing, but being pleasant to the touch or attractive to look at is in no way a sign of quality.
Exactly, but they never go on about how likely it is to get you were you’re going, or getting back again, I suppose a nice soft touch dashboard is nice to see while you’re waiting for the breakdown service.
