Bad luck but you did have 90% of your adventure.

Did a couple of 2-4km Brompton rides in the week, then yesterday about 8km on the road bike, and just got back from a 23km local spin. Not in pain! Great.I have another trip to the US next weekend for two weeks pootling, then hopefully back to Scotland early Sept!

I read the whole thing about 6 months after the fact. Quite an adventure. My favourite bit was when you managed to mangle your rear derailleur and had to swap bikes; impressive.

thanks! I managed a great two weeks in the USA and went back to finish the LEJOG at the end of August. Very glad I did
