I thought the whole point of cameras was that you didn't need to get angry and behave like a prick, or chase people down. You can remain calm in the knowledge that if anything bad actually happens you have the evidence to back up a complaint. I wonder if he did report the bus driver.

Also, if I was that woman, I'd be wanting that footage removed from Youtube. I imagine if I was that woman's husband/partner/father, I'd be wanting the footage removed and the cyclist given a good kicking.

An exaggeration, I think, she didn't seem terrified to me. If a driver does a close pass, on a bend, by a junction, as she did, and then offers in mitigation:

"You were in the middle of the road!" (He wasn't) then they should be charged with careless driving because they are basically saying "Yep, I saw you but drove too close anyway'

These camera chumps are hurting our cause and bringing us negative publicity. Even a lot of the sensible riders turn to slavering monsters when armed with the righteous holiness of a headcam.

Only the idiots that do this kind of thing. Not all cyclists wearing cameras are looking for trouble. It's like saying "all cyclists run red lights".
Yes, this is the bit that puzzles me, the head-cammer must have reviewed his own video and thought . "I must show the world how cool and clever I am."
I would be embarassed if I had acted like the cyclist in the video. Why you'd want a video like that in the public domain I have no idea. It doesn't do him any favours and gives more ammo to the cycle-haters.

Mr ABikeCam, you might want to read all of my post. I acceptknowledged that there are sensible riders that use them, albeit some of them get the righteous bug too.

At no point did I state or imply that every single camera user is a chump, although from the evidence littering the interweb it's plain to see many are.

What makes you think I don't use a bar mounted GoPro? I do, I just don't feel the urge to start confrontations with people in public. Even if you're absolutely right, where does it get you? Nowhere at best, a Hospital or even a Mortuary at worst.

What terrifies me is the thought these idiots could also be drivers, or could become one. Imagine the idiots behind the wheel of a car when they are too mentally unstable to be on the road at all.

I did read all your post, and I never said you implied all cam users are chumps. I said "Only the idiots that do this kind of thing" - I was trying to agree with you, but maybe I didn't make that clear.

No-one's going to post anything that's uneventful which means there are two types of video. The first are the genuine incidents, and the second the kind that nobbers post. Unfortunately those kinds of people tend to be the ones that will post anything, even when there are 100% in the wrong, and give all cyclists a bad name. I don't think they represent the majority of headcammers.

As far as I'm aware, I've never made any assumptions as to what cam you may or may not have. Like you, I also do not like to start confrontations and I certainly don't go looking for them
I suppose we get to see a disproportionate amount from those that upload every tiny incident, so may be it's fairer to say, those with an extensive video collection on youtube are chumps. And I see the cyclist in the OP has quite a collection.

The following one was interesting and demonstrated what a poor rider he is. First we see an appalling piece of driving where the young lad in the car is overtaking in a built up area (he needs his licence torn up) but then look what the cyclist does in overtaking the car about to pull out, he's no better than the idiot young driver he is complaining about. No wonder he is finding so much material to upload, his crap road skills are putting him into situations where bad stuff happens
What a total twunt.
He could have been killed pulling off that stupid overtake, just to remonstrate to the car driver.
Do these people think they are Robocop or something, then to make matters worse they post it on the Internet.
In a few years time every car will be fitted with a camera, and the entire internet will be filled with this sort of rubbish.

It's all a great mystery to me.
The OP appeared to slow down and exercise patience with the cars approaching him on the wrong side of the road as they overtook parked cars, then stopped to provoke the drivers of stationary buses:rolleyes:.
