I did it!!!!!

Finally cleaned my commuter bike after about 3 years.

To be fair, I only did it as I'm taking it to a bike shop on Monday to get a split link put in the chain (to make it easier to clean!) and it was filthy.

Can't help but think I've opened up a can of worms and made it susceptible to falling apart now all the special glue (muck) keeping it together has gone!

£165 apollo transition from halfords, bought it in 2003. had no major mechanicals in that time apart from the odd cable change and one deraillieur adjustment. it's a solid piece of bikemanship and that's why i chose my username in it's honour!

i was actually amazed by the lack of rust once the dirt was off. must have got it from a really good batch!
