The worst job I ever had was sweeping up in a building materials factory. There was a covering of powder over the floor every morning which had to be cleared up. Sometimes I had a massive vaccum to help, most times it was a sweeping job. I started at the top level of the factory and worked down to ground level. By the time I got to the bottom... yep, Fourth Bridge Syndrome day after day. Thank heavens it was only a holiday job.

Guarding a warehouse full of grapefruit for 12 hours at Southampton docks, on the next shift I had to look after a compound full of brown coal as again the workers were taking it home.
Something to do with lobsters I would say.

I spend my working day trying to do as little as possible for my job. Given that I work for the NHS this should surprise no-one. In fact there's a doctor on duty almost solely to make sure I don't have to do too much.
You were lucky....Winston Churchills bogeys would have been an awful job

I'm a radiographer in a children's hospital. We aim to expose kids to as little radiation as possible so even when it's needed, I still go as gently as I can.

I once had a temporary job in the Bank of China in Manchester. I spent the day in a room filing away checks by name order (these were for Chinese customers). After a few days I was observed filing away merrily, only to be told the thousands I had already done had been filed by the wrong name as I hadn't been told which name I should take as the surname 
. I wasn't asked back, which I wasn't too bothered about, as the only fun I had was throwing jumbo sized paperclips into the industrial sized shredder - just to hear the churning noise and see sparks fly
. I was still in my teens so can be forgiven, I hope.

Way back when I was a lot younger I did some agency work for a while and one job I was sent to involved putting boxes of bottles onto a roller track as the automatic picker was broke. Just as we thought we had got the end of the huge stack of pallets more were brought in. Fortunatly the picker was fixed towards the end of the day as didn't think I stand another day.
