Accy I wanted to "like" your post but didn't want you to think I liked you having a horrid dream!

Ok thanks for the concern! ;)

Not a dream so much as an anti-dream:-

A few years back my work involved me being on call for a large regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. One morning I arrived early at work and was thanked by a member of nigh shift staff for advise I had given them during the night before. I had no recollection of the conversation and though she had mixed up people. Upon checking the calls on my mobile in turned out I had indeed held a telephone conversation around 2am for 10 minutes or so during which I apparently gave advise that allow staff to correct an urgent problem.

I rarely remember dreams but it's equally rare that I don't remember telephone calls

I have had a couple of dreams where something has happened in the dream, only for it to happen soon after.

The first is a geeky one, I dreamt of a green Class 60 (a type of freight loco), and a few days later I went to the Old Oak Common Depot open day in west London, and what did they have? Yes, 60081 in GWR green ('60s have never carried green at any time in their careers, this is the only time its happened), a very special repaint, done in secret especially for the event, we were all supposed to be surprised, and people were.... Except for me... Who was trying to remember where he'd seen it before!

Coincidence?? Maybe, and I know it doesn't sound like much to the average person but it seemed a bit strange that I'd dream of something so random and utterly specific.

Anyway, the other was when I was at College and they had some old and rather dodgy lifts. I dreamt that I was in one when it suddenly plummeted to the ground. It seemed so real, I was scared! I woke up just before impact.

A few days later, one of the same lifts 'slipped' for want of a better word, falling 3 or 4 floors before the safety brakes came on, injuring several people inside.

I had had a similar dream about lifts before involving my Mum, so I NEVER used any of those or any other lifts again, and even now I generally avoid lifts when I can!

MDB, I'd like to give that last one a like, but for the lift part. Hope you were'nt in it at the time.
Did the Class 60 have a name, when you saw it, when awake.

Thankfully not, although I think I'd have told the lift to 'do its worst' after having that dream!

In the dream it didn't, or at least I don't remember it having a name because I didn't know what one it was, but the real '60, 60081 was named Isambard Kingdom Brunel at the open day (Old Oak Common in 2000).
Before then it had been named Bleaklow Hill (the irony is that 60081 was the first of the class I had ever seen a few years before at Carlisle in 1993, so I knew exactly what its previous identity was. Most other enthusiasts didn't, because it was a relatively obscure member of the class).

60081 is still in green, but it has been stored at Toton for years. It is still the only green example of the class ever.

One of the few dreams I can recall happened some time ago.

I woke up one morning and asked my, then, other half how her best friend was following her car crash. I saw answered with " what are you talking about? You must have dreamt it".

That evening my other half got a phone call from her friends husband telling her said friend had been in a crash on the way home from work. Freaky! Lol
