I am going to be applying in the new year when I am 18 but I have already filled out the form and have it waiting in my cupboard now.
I am definately fit to go on it but does anyone know if you have to pay for the flights and accomodation to get there? They have said they won't pay for travel to the audition which will be in this country, but do they expect you to pay more than the prize money to get your whole family to Argentina? (Prize= £10,000. Holiday= £5,000 for flights, £3,600(4 people) accommodation, and a few hundred for food/extras etc).
If I have to pay to get there then I am not going to bother even though there is a good chance that I could win (I think of myself like that).

Has anyone else on here got on the programme or got close to it?

You should fit in quite well.

You need a 'personality' to get through the audition. I know two people (husband and wife) that made it through through the auditions then turned it down because the timing wasn't convenient. They then turned down a retimed invitation because they both couldn't go on that date and then turned down the invitation for one of them to go. The female subsequently was successful at getting on to, and losing, The Weakest Link.

The other two people that I know who get on to game shows are like the first two - proper twunts who think a lot of themselves, consider themselves to be extoverts but are thought by others to be insufferable gobshites.

If you you consider yourself a match to the profiles that I have posted then you'll stand a good chance of losing friends and failing to influence people and make a total ar5e of yourself in front of both of the viewers of the program.

It's a strange title to the topic:wacko:

Should it not say "I'm thinking of applying to be on Total wipeout"

You will pay to travel to the audition. They'll cover the cost of the rest.

Post it ... and see. They need a whole range of people but you do need to express a specific personality in the audition.

Twunt is the normal entry criteria.

I have to work with a Total Wipeout successful candidate and with several other successful games how participants - one of them has been on thirty six game shows and has cleared £25k in prize money. Their self proclaimed quirkiness and extrovert nature is entertaining for the first ten minutes.......

I'm trying to plan the perfect, clueless, multiple murder.

I don't do game shows Vernon, but I've won two ITV This Morning competitions totalling over £20k in the past. My only game show appearance was on 15-to-1 over 20 years ago because I was bored after my A-levels.

Some of the entrants are OK, but I'd agree a few are annoying. I work with someone who was on Channel 4's Come Dine With Me. And he can't cook!
