I can't get passed log in, I get this = Single Sign On could not complete as your profile could not be validated, possibly your username is already taken, a duplicate was found or you do not meet the age requirements.
plus I never sign out of cyclechat...
but I've been logged out before and had no problem getting logged on again..
thanks again

Could you please PM me your account login password and the forum you were trying to login to and I'll see if I can get it working for you.

Cheers,
Shaun

Having done some tests with Irish's account it appears there's a problem with the SSO add-on - so I'm going to chat with the developer and see if we can get it fixed.

Cheers,
Shaun

Posted in photography and will keep posting when I have time/can think of something to say, to build up a bit of critical mass. It thankfully does not resemble the photo forum I am a member of where the RAW versus JPEG (non) argument compares to Shimano vs Campy like Stalingrad to a Town Centre on Saturday night

well, now that 'Dellzeqq' has achieved worldwide fame thanks to Cycle Chat, I thought I should make the effort. A small post in the pets forum is the result.

And Thom has shown his appreciation by walking across the keyboard. There you go......

I have tried posting in the photography one a few times, but I find it very hard going. I must say it surprises me how few discussions are generated there and most of those are on a very, very basic level. It would be nice to have an active photography forum but I just don't know how you're going to get there

Thanks, and yes, it's definitely hard getting them going. Now that my to-do list is whittled down to just a few outstanding technical bits and bobs I'm hoping I can muck-in but I do need help promoting the new sites so if you know of other photographers who could come and help us kick-start things they'd be very welcome. ;)

I've been back a few times since my last post but honestly the level of knowledge (on the photography forum) is so low, and the 'discussion' so disconnected and drifting and idle. I drop in there because I am already involved in Cycle Chat and since I am there I glance in at the photo one, in hope, but always leave swiftly generally without posting anything as there is just nothing to say in response to the idle and/or long out of date threads. I have tried posting on a couple of threads but the fact is you can go a week or often more before you see another post and all too often the next one will be a complete non sequitur to any other post o the thread. There is little or no interaction or debate, certainly no passion, and frankly very litte knowledge or experience of photography beyond the Box Brownie level. Professionals and people who are serious about photography have some very serious and knowledgable forums they can frequent. I know I do.

It surprises me that this should be so. I have seen and read far more intelligent photo-oriented posts in Cycle Chat than I have seen in Photography. Odd.
