Wouldn't like to offend Accy.
Can of worms and all that.
I said this in another thread, but people don't realise the wealth of framebuilders the length and breadth of Britain.
If I had came into a nice little bundle, that's what I would do.
Even off the peg, there are better options than those.
Since when are Bianchi and Trek British?
Trek can only be bought in store, so any deal would need to be localish for @Accy cyclist who has expressed a wish to buy a bike with a discount of 35%+

This ones nearly half price and might be the right size at 58cm

Parkers have in more sizes for around a grand

I never said they were British,I was talking about off the peg.
I was just saying there are plenty of options in Britain that people overlook, that could be another angle.

I was referring to your comment about framebuilders in Britain. That said even British Companies like Pearson, Condor, Dolan build bikes from frames made overseas. Accy's budget possibly won't stretch to a Uk manufacturers bespoke frame let alone a whole bike. Not even sure who bespoke builds carbon here, most seem to work in metal

Like the absolute majority of bikes, yep true.
If I had came into money,it would be my thinking to buy something custom.
Thinking out loud @vickster ^_^ ,and I did not know his budget.
Now that I know, off the peg is the only way.

If I buy another bike, I expect it'll be made out of titanium from Enigma...whether the frame will be custom built will depend on how well their off the peg frame fits (and the cost)

I'm sure @Accy cyclist will decide on something eventually

How sure?

Must admit that for some reason Giant do nothing for me, but there again I wouldn't want to buy any bike just because it's carbon.
It's the overall package that would be important whether the frame was plastic or metal.
He wants carbon as he has alu bikes and has the money, I can get that...but I do think he should buy a bike he's at least sat on but that takes some effort if there aren't many shops around

Having no brand loyalty can be helpful or more difficult as there's no narrowing of choice
