Appreciate you're not asking for comments on your riding, but...

Filtering up the inside of a large van just before a left turn is potentially very dangerous. Had the van turned left it could easily have taken you out in a serious way.

As for the ped...just one of those idiots who seem to delight in doing anything to cause upset.

.

Agreed, with a van like that the driver can't see you at all, possibly not even if he actually remembers to look in his wing mirror, and that's the best case scenario hoping that he actually can be arsed to indicate.

IME almost all drivers turn erratically without indicating on occasion, especially if they are lost or trying to find somewhere.

Not teaching you to suck eggs, hopefully you will take my comments in the cheery tone they are intended.

Special people like these, who don’t know how to behave correctly or know what to do with their feelings. He clearly likes bikes, he see's you and get excited. Being a special inbred low life, his brain does not know how to compute this emotion. And that’s his reaction, you should be happy to know that you probably made his day by giving him some excitement in between collecting his job seekers allowance and popping down to bargain booze to get some white lightening.

May I also comment on teh positioning and filtering up teh inside of WVM at a junction?

ALso, the car in the side road; would not have been beyond a sensible precaution to have 'expected them to pull out'?

WVM may have flashed etc and been about to turn/stop/slow.

I genuinely was looking at WVM on the first viewing and hardly noticed the idiot!

Anyway - no harm done but maybe several thoughts that may help us all?

Maybe the WVP (White Van Passenger) made the universal Nescafe hand signal to the ped, who took offence and wasn't gesturing at the cyclist at all?

Since I started cycling to work I have come across a few, lets say unique, people. I think when you are in a car you are detached from life around you, on a bike you are part of that life whether you want to be or not. I have seen some right odd behaviour from people as I cycle, perhaps we should start a post along the lines of "the oddest person I have seen today"

That's generally when I check the mirror to make sure my hat and camera are all ship shape and bristol fashion.
