A Big Bad Lorry Driver
As predicted, this thread seems to have gone quiet. Had Matt made a pratt of himself that wouldn't have been the case. We would have been at page 30 by now.

He gets plenty of criticism or ribbing from people, myself included, when things go wrong (Dominoes pizza and bus station confrontations!), so a bit of credit for this would be good.
We know you've all secretly watched it by now .
Please please post a link, I feel I've missed out on something:surrender:

Well done @Matthew_T  you came across well I think, shame the outcome for the driver wasn't harder,

A good watch.
Rolex ?

That wasn't a bad programme, better than that "war On The Roads" rubbish. Well done Matt. 100 hours community service for using a vehicle as a weapon is pish though.

Well done Matthew, I think you came across really well.

I hadn't seen that video before, it was such a non-incident for him to go so mental over. I'm surprised he'd even heard you mutter 'cut the corner' and that's just a commentary on what he actually did, not particularly a judgement. I wonder what his reactions are when something serious happens!?

Just goes to show if something happens, video it, keep your mouth shut and send the footage to the fuzz for them to sort out.

Ha ha! Exactly, there is a little gang of spiteful bullies on here who endlessly pick on Matthew. Where are they now? What have they done to make the roads safer?

I watched it and agree that the programme actually was balanced rather than being anti cyclist. Well done Matthew T

For them to do very little about, by all accounts. The most striking thing to me about all the incidents is how little was done. The guy who physically assaulted the cyclist was 'given a caution'. Wow. That's certainly going to dissuade him from any repeat. And wait till he tells his mates at the pub...

It really is crazy. This is the kind of behaviour that wrecks people's lives, yet the authorities seem to view it with a shrug of the shoulders, as tho' it 'just happens', like rain, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Oh, and as others have said, well done Matthew - you handled the incident very well, and came across very well on the interview: calm, sensible, non-whiney.

Worse was the learner driver whose passenger lobbed a bottle, then she drove over the cyclist! 100 hours community service, wtf?
