My cousin lives there and when in London on the weekend told me that the WHOLE CITY goes car-free one Sunday a month!

It means that as well as cycling in parks normally, her gorgeous four-year-old (who cycles a lovey pink bike without stabilisers) can explore the city by road safely with her mum once a month.

How fab is that?

That sounds good. There's only one down-side though.
You're in Brussels...

I like Brussels, good steak, good chocolate, marvelous beer mmmmmmmmmmmm
I go to Brussels a few times a year for work, normally for a couple of days at a time. It's not my favourite city in the world, but I completely echo what wheeledweenie says .. especially the beer. And the horse steaks are pretty good too.

Whereever you are in Brussels, it always seems to smell of urine. I love Belgium though.

A friend of mine has just come back from Colombia and they do the same thing in Bogotá every Sunday

The Columbians are very pro-cycling, something I discovered on a you tube video recently (at work atm so unable to post linky)

If it gets to the point where absolutly everywhere smells of urine, you may need a medical opinion...;)
