I wish I'd thought of this. Bloody brilliant.

I won't be able to post on here as it will get removed but google Viz 'clag-gone' for the greatest bike related invention ever.
IIRC, 'Clag-gone' was a misnomer - it was more a 'Clag-your-bare-legs'! ('Clags' were shown flying backwards, but think which direction the rear wheel would actually be rotating in!)

The clags were indeed flying backwards (never actually thought to question this at the time). I guess the correct downward motion towards the floor would not have had the same impact as seeing them flung vigorously into the air behind said rider.

Does anyone remember the episode of Tomorrow's World that featured my combined handlebar and ironing board? Ideal for the smartly turned out commuter.

I have a few Aldi bike stands like that. I wonder how easy it is yo use the pump when it's so close to the bike, and if the hose reaches the front valve?
Plus I have to think it's easier to attach the pump head to the tyre valve if the bike is solidly on the ground.

Well spotted. Not only have they got that bit wrong but surely the guy wouldn't have such a smiley satisfied happy look on his face either given that he's got bare rubber chaffing his arse crack! Ouch!

I used to get Viz wayyyy back. Some of the stuff they come up with was trouser wetting. The best lads mag there has ever been.
