Is there any real benefit to the ride quality between tyres pumped up to 90/100psi+ and just using solid tyres? Are we just wasting our time and effort using pneumatic ones when they are so hard and unforgiving anyway?

....just a thought!
Thought about it many, many times but I cant find a solid tyre that doenst look like an industrial roller, very chunky and heavy tread. All the greens tyres are pretty basic treads.

if they just did a sleek, slick road tyre (in pretty colours of course) I'd be super tempted.

Oh I wonder too!
just googled this link.

and read this... doesn't sound too fab

Cyclists often believe archaic airless technology is more functional than pneumatic tires, since airless tires cannot lose air. Pneumatic tires absorb shock throughout the tire, while airless tires experience shocks only in the area the blow originates, potentially damaging bicycle rims. Pneumatic tires conform and offer traction offer rough surfaces; airless tires bounce over rough terrain, resulting in poor traction. Airless tires represent a herculean effort for tire installers, often damaging rims or tools during installation. Many bicycle repair shops charge exorbitant amounts or outright refuse to install airless bicycle tires.

Could you perhaps expand your services to transferring mud off the roads as well? Some of the lanes around here are a mess at the moment, still cleaning my bike from Sundays ride!
