If you’re road cycling double file (with someone side by side), any ideas on how to check for cars approaching from behind without having to constantly turn your head?
+1
A simple small bar end mirror is a real benefit
Something like the Sprintech:
They look rather neat. My OH bought the traditional, clamp to the bar, style & I don't think she's having much success. However she has fancy grips so they probably wouldn't fit.
T'other option is the "Bike Eye" which is frame fitting:
Unless there's a reason you find it difficult to turn your head, I'd advise simply getting used to doing it more often. It's not just for checking; it communicates to drivers that you expect them to acknowledge your presence. If you’re road cycling double file (with someone side by side), any ideas on how to check for cars approaching from behind without having to constantly turn your head?
Ask the other bloke to do it?
Nah - women won't ride two abreast with Rich, the old perv. The other bloke might be a laydee.
I have a Bike-eye. It's of rather limited use TBH.
