Football - combine it with horse racing so that any footballer that goes down with a leg injury whether it be real or feigned is shot.

F1 - a driver's car for the weekend to be drawn by lots
F1 - swap the sprint race for a reverse grid race a la stock car, with the main race grid set by the result.

Most individual sports would be improved by having to stop at halfway to solo pill a cat and get a pee sample from a dog
