Cycling through gayton in kings lynn earlier, waiting at a red light ... light changes, i pull away.
Car behind doesn't pass, and stays on my tail round a left bend.
Then continues to follow, for about 200 yards ... until he realised he could safety indicate and move over to the other lane to pass.

*Because it was a dual carriageway*

Did he honestly think a car could come from the other way around this blind left bend
on this dual carriageway??

I'm a great fan or looking beyond the "vehicle" and seeing whats actually in control, and yep,
sure enough ... it was someone in his 80's with big hairy ears and a flat cap!

(I have nothing against old drivers ... my mentor at the i.a.m was well past retirement age).

seems to me he was driving withing his own capabilities ans simply had your safty at heart. I wish more drivers would behave like that around here they'd just mow you down...even at age 80.

Personally i hate having a car up my rear unless they are more than two car lengths back,
besides ... the over 80's have more accidents per mile driven than the under 20's.

Possibly the driver hadn't noticed it was a dual carriage way for a moment and treated the two lanes as a single carriageway. The driving was safe givien the circumstances I guess. Certainly better then getting the mistake the other way round.

The dual carriageway was well signed ... maybe his eyesight was poor, which is extremly worrying.

Learn to share; and be aware that age is just a number; as your now young, a NUMPTY ONE you'll learn more as you get older!

And it comes very quickly believe me.

Maybe he was just trying to remember where he was going? We've all done it, well er I have.

Maybe he was/is a cyclist and was just trying to get an extra look in at your bike.

Hahaha!! Funny. He was probably wondering how all the stickers held the frame together.
(This was a hybrid until a few weeks ago).
