Get straight straight back on. Unfortunately I've had a 48hr break since I got hit by the taxi on Saturday due to the bike going in for repairs. Got it back today and I'm going out for a ride now to put the demons to bed.
I didn't think I'd be bothered but I do feel a little apprehensive. It's got to be done and the sooner the better.

Wish me luck.

You'll be fine. It's natural to feel a little apprehensive. An accident is always a bit of a shock to the system.
Once you're riding again you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.
All the best.

I took a nasty tumble on Saturday. I couldn't get back on as my front wheel was a write off. Despite being in a fair bit of pain in my hips and lower back I fished out my road bike today and had a little ride, just a couple of miles to mobilise my stiff joints. It's like riding a horse, fall off then get back on SAP.

Agree - I had a coming together on Friday coming home from work. I purposefully went past the same place today to banish any demons.

Thanks for all the words of support. I've just done 14 miles, most of it in commuter traffic. I deliberately chose a busy route which took me past the junction I got wiped out at. Tbh I feel a bit soft now, once I was in the traffic I didn't have time to worry.
I'm not sure this is a solution for everyone who gets a confidence knock but it worked for me. I can't wait to get out again.
Thanks again, oh and @compo, hope you're feeling better mate.
