That’s some strange time zone voodoo, for a start. Assuming the bus slips into a wormhole and doesn’t hit any traffic in Chicago or Betelgeuse, the passengers should get to the other side in time for the rapture or the second coming, whichever comes first.

Greyhound is only good for rapid sprints. Other breeds of dog may have more endurance but a horse, mule, camel or llama would have more luggage capacity.
