Its always good in this day and age to see young guy starting out on adventures like he plans, sadly a lot of young guys and gals get taken to the cleaners in some part of the world, always some smooth talking local will take advantage of them, when I am in my 2nd home in KL, I see them walking around the main tourist area all blue eyes and bushy eyed being tailed by the local rip off guys.
For the OP I would suggest you check if Australia will allow you to enter the country with just a one way ticket, I know some of my Chinese friends who have been refused entry because they did not have a return ticket or sufficient funds.

At least you are being honest with your method of funding your trip . Good luck; but as I am currently having trouble funding a day return for a bike and myself to Millport, I won't be donating .

might be a bit of a silly question, but i recently purchased a giant defy 5 for some light touring, it has eyelets for a rear rack, but the holes of the eyelets seem to have some kind of plastic stopper thing in it.

does anyone know how to get rid of it?
