I'm glad I cycled in today.
The main roads were clear, just a bit slushy in places and I hadn't noticed any ice. Hopefully the way home will be just as uneventful as it'll be harder to see any ice in the dark! I'm banking on the main roads being clear though, and I'll just take extra care on the side roads. It took me an extra 5 minutes to get into work though (usually it's just over 13 mins, today it was just over 18 minutes). You forget how much extra work it is on a MTB with 2.1" knobblies and low gearing.
Works car park (which is on a slope) however hadn't been gritted and you couldn't really see the parking bays. Reception have just tanoyed the reg numbers of several cars (about 6 in all). Apparently they had started slipping down the car park. Facilities think that perhaps there was ice under the snow where they parked. Ooops.
