Slightly off.topic but my snobbery of sorts is that I have boycotted Mr Kipling products because of their money over morals attitude to re-using factory methods of egg production and the dishonesty with which they've gone about it.

They made a fanfare of going free range a few years ago, TV advertising, et al, all chickens having access to the outside.

This didn't last long and they very quietly reverted cheaper indoor means without mentioning it to anyone.

They've been forced to disclose the downgrading and change to their ethical statements only by customers such as us and welfare organisations spotting and challenging them & publicly embarrassing them into it.

Shome mushtake shurely. Proper shoes are from Northampton. Maybe italian if you're a Milan pimp or whatever, but a gentleman's oxfords or laird's brogues should obviously be from Northampton; certainly all mine are.

To be wholly correct Budapest might be an acceptable alternative, but not Italy

I did buy some realtively expensive Dromati cycling shoes - when they arrived they were labelled made in the Philipines. Whislt they are quite nice, the quality isn't a patch on even a mid range pair of Loakes ordinary shoes
