Oh, I forgot to add "the right size" to my criteria - I'm nearer 21" than 23". But yes, it's a shame it's gone already.

Still keep coming back to variable quality within a price point.
Another example was a donated to me bike, a ToysRUs Sabre front sus MTB. The guy said it was cheap when he got it (i cant remember the value) and he'd done something like 3000 miles commuting on it. The only changes he'd made in 3 or 4 years was to fit a set of slicks, replaced a back wheel and replaced the BB. It was fairly wrecked when i got it, chain and cassette worn, brake blocks needed replacing...but it was still rideable.

Not bad for what you'd clearly see as a BSO.

And yet i read another thread about the horrors of a ToysRUs BSO....no consistency even from one retailer. What chance has Joe Public got :ohmy:
