In praise of excellent customer service: Hedcamz

My award for excellent customer service goes once again to the guys at www.HEDCAMz.com

My hedcam failed after immersing it in sea water in Cyprus last month.

Without any issues a brand new hi def head cam arrived in the post today.

I am a happy hedcamz customer.

In this modern world where big outfits like virgin media forget how to do customer service in favour of high.pressure sales ( in my experience) its good to know companies like hedcamz have the decency to put customer service first.

I recommend them, I have no financial interest in hedcamz at all, just for the record.

Good for them. And good for you for spreading the word. Companies like this deserve all the word-of-mouth promotion they can get.

By stark contrast, my mate's bike split horribly, and irreparably. No actual cause - he hadn't hit anything, he's not a wild rider. It turned out to be a fortnight out of its three year warranty. The company's response? Too bad. Three years means three years, period.

On a similare note, I had excellent service from GoPro. A GP handle bar mount snapped on my bike whilst on the ride London /Surrey 100 last year, thus bouncing my camera down Whitehall. The camera and housing survived the unintended trip down the road, but I was bit vexed that the mount broke. I sent an email and they sent a replacement with no bother. (actually they sent the wrong thing, and after another email sent the correct part, but didn't ask for the other part back.

Very pleases with Go Pro customer service thank you very much.

Apparently it was a Kinesis Gran Fondo Scandium.
