The pickled limes just keep getting better and better. My scurvy has cleared up too. Thanks again CycleChat.

The longer you keep them, the better they get, up to and possibly beyond 3 years.....

.... I still have some from the great lime glut of August 2010.

Please pardon the shameless thread resurrection.
Having ample supplies of well-matured lime pickle in the pantry (see above), I wasn't going to make any more this year.....

Yesterday I found some high-quality limes in a fruit/veg/plant shop in Haydn Road, Sherwood priced at a fill-yer-boots 10p each.
Well, it would be churlish to refuse to part with a quid, wouldn't it? ^_^
Another 3 jars filled; now need to make a few more curries than my normal quota to make inroads into the reserve stock.
I've got a shed load of chillis growing at home
What do I do with them?
Dry them, grid them, snort them, see through time.

I have to say that @Andrew_Culture homemade profanity sauce is very very good. and the chilli vodka is mental - I did oly have a taste of fingertip and its hot hot hot. bloody nice tho

Glad you like it! Also like that you couldn't resist trying the vodka

That sauce doesn't keep too well because I didn't jam it full of sugar and vinegar, so best keep it it the fridge.

what do you guys use your hot sauce on?

personally my favourite is the Habanjero sauce on cheese on toast, with Jalapenos then topped with tabasco for a little extra kick. (so bread/habanjero/jalapenos/cheese/tabasco) the missus hates it but i cant get enough of that lip tingling goodness!

also smothering cheese and crackers with the Scotch Bonnet sauce i have is also nice.
