They sound a bit familiar. Are they like little balls of chili cut out of a pepper in sauce? This reminds me, I need to get more chiles in adobo!
They're tiny chillis!

I received a bottle of Nando's Extra, Extra hot Piri Piri sauce for xmas. While it is palatable, it isn't anywhere near as hot as the name would have you believe.
I've never been to Nando's and if this is anything to go by, I doubt I ever will.
Off now to cook a Chernobyl strength curry to compensate for the disappointment.

Nah it's not at all deathly, but it is tasty.

Made a fantastic molé the other night with onions, garlic, almonds, sesame, very dark chocalate, anchos, chipotle and pasilla chillis. It was excellent. The thing about molés is that although there is a huge amount of chilli in them, they are rich and rounded, not just hot.

I've never even heard of mole, I feel like I'm missing out.

Barnet,
Windmill hot sauce from Barbados. My old driver introduced me to it in 1976. Wonderful stuff.

I have finally found the modern equivalent, still made by Windmill products of barbados.

I have been enjoying this hot sauce at the moment.
From Malaysia.and according to the blurb is made of Birds Eye Chillies.

It's a lovely piquant flavour with sweet after taste. Even thought it says extra hot on the bottle. Any regular hot chilli lover would think it was just hot rather then extra hot.
Mrs Ian picked it up in Sainsbury's of all places.
