Not so much a complete building, but part of the innards of one near here. The Post Office in Spring Gardens, Manchester, houses some rather nice looking pieces of art which were, apparently (possibly), donated by the University of Manchester back in the 60s. Was sent some photos of them by a young lady who's trying to trace their history... I quite like them.

Haven't been inside the Spring Gardens PO but it looks a thoroughly civilised PO for Manchester's main business and legal district. Will make a point of going inside when next in town.

I have done a lot of work in the lofts here. the carpentry is amazing for something that would never be seen , and the stuff that can be seen is truly outstanding

One more try at posting.
Temple MIlls, of which Vernon posted a pic earlier.
I used to have a workshop in Tower Mills pretty much next door to Temple Mills. In the car park there were two old mill chimneys both of which were outstanding in there own way.

You can see both of them in this pic taken from the far side of the Leeds Liverpool Canal in this photo:

They are the two closest to the camera. At first glance they look pretty uninteresting but the detail on them is impressive:

I think this was the mill chimney for Temple Mills.

The other one although not nearly so grand is still quite a structure:

The main weaving shed of Temple Mills was made with flat roof and it had 60 odd dome shaped roof lights in.

I think when it was built it was the largest single room in the world. Oh and the roof was covered with grass and it had it's own flock of sheep on to keep the grass in trim.
