Here for rides.
... noise cancelling, well, reducing, headphones.
This week some thieving git stole my Denon over-ear headset from my desk whilst I was in a meeting. Great workplace huh?
This cause me to bring in another headset, one I used to use on flights. When I switched the noise cancelling on before a call... bliss... the hubbub of the open plan and the constant noise of A/C, PC fans, et cetera was much diminished.
What a joy. With the added bonus that if I keep them on all the time, to benefit from the noise reduction folk with think I'm on conference calls and will leave me alone instead of forming a queue at my deskside with their pleas to do aspects of their jobs for them.
So lovely peeps, noise reducing headsets in the workplace, boon or bane?
