DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
In the TV series Annika she tends to leave Glasgow on her boat, then arrives at her home on said same boat.

However ... the 'base' for the show is in the tidal, sea water of the Clyde but the house is on the non-tidal freshwater of Loch Lomond. One has waves, the other doesn't! How does she jump the land border between the two?

The river Leven used to be navigable between the Clyde and Loch Lomond, but not since the barrage was built in 1971. The barrage being designed to regulate the water level in the loch.

I wondered about what happened to one girl. Her family turned up at the wrong gas station / engineering shop. After they killed her father and raped and killed her mother, I worried about her fate. Sort of glad not to find out. All the bad guys died by the end. The nun with the big gun offed them all, so it was a happy endimg, really. She shot the chief bad guy's willy off.

If its the same film that I watched, Mexican desert type of setting with dodgy gangsters, then you obviously watched for a lot longer than I did, I only lasted ten minutes before switching off so I never saw any nude nuns.

Have you never heard of fast forward?

My mind was numb by then.

Not a film but a TV series, Alan Carr's Changing Ends.

Watching the new series tonight there's an episode where his mum complains about the transfer window, but the show is set in the eighties, and me being a geek knew that FIFA didn't introduce it until the early 2000s.

A quick Google says it was 2002.

In the Mad Max Films, petrol & diesel is supposed to be in very short supply, yet they are all driving round like loony's in V8 Muscle cars & huge trucks, why, surely a mini 850, or a Honda Cub would be highly prized

A) Nobody wants to watch that

B) The metaphor falls apart
