And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
......
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
......

Now is there anything on the dark side of moon?

Barnet,
I can't help thinking that the moon landing is not going to help the vast population of India one jot.
The amount of money this has cost could probably been spent better elsewhere.
This is a vanity project to try and play with other space exploration countries.
Plenty of problems here on Earth to throw money at .

Alas, there is no dark side or the moon. This is why the album has always annoyed me greatly.

The side facing away from us receives the same amount of sunlight as the side we can see.

The interest with the poles is that some craters remain in permanent shade and are strongly suspected to harbour water of probably cometary origin, which is good for fuel and air. Also some areas will be inconstant sunlight, which is good for generating solar power.

A worthy achievement, and in terms of revenue the technical investment this demonstration has required will be quickly dwarfed by the business it brings into the country. There simply aren't enough commercial launch providers, and as this decade unfolds exploration of the moon will attract cash from both commercial investors and from NASA contracts. In the long term India will do very nicely out of it. Fair play.

I wonder what the Pakistani response is.

Their cable car launch system didn't work out as they had planned.
