imagine the inside of your head as a round room with lots of windows.

in each window playback one of the thoughts in your head

Once you have viewed it pull down an imaginary blind on that window and move around to the next window.

Do the same on all the windows until all have blinds drawn on them

You should now be standing in a dark room of empty thoughts

You might now be able to switch off

It obviously does not work though cos im still awake.....;) However i have an excuse as im on night shift and im the boss so not allowed to sleep.

Not insomnia but my 2yrold woke up at 2am and wouldn't go back to sleep. So I've been up since then. Sure today's going to be a day of short shrift.

Just repeat the following mantra...

Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!

Sorry, I started typing this at 04:00 this morning and have only just woken up. xx( cue big yawn.

I've been back from Asia a week now (time difference 7 hours from the UK). Still waking up at 02:00. Fall asleep easily about 20:00 in front of the TV at my brother's (much to the amusement of my nieces) but WIDE awake in the middle of the night.
Sleep deprivation isn't much fun!
