Insurance payout question

Does anyone know if an insurance company can send me the money direct and not to the company I got a quote off?, just that For the same price online some come with a better warranty or aftercare.

I am claiming off the person who hit me's insurance.

I would imagine that as you are a third party claimant they will pay you directly. Beware they may knock some money off for age, wear and tear.

They can try, it's up to you to decide if you accept it.

It depends on each insurer - I think some have paid directly to the person getting the claim, others pay the company - I think the technicality of it is if it's dependent on you buying through only certain retailers then the cash goes to them- worth asking.
