Just wanted to say that I have found Tesco Insurance really good to deal with - they ARE reclaiming the costs from the driver, they just have a different team and the home insurance people aren't well versed in handling RTAs, which is where the above came from. I also spoke to a supervisor about the possibility of waiting for driver to pay up to get bike from LBS and she said that of course this is a possibility, it would just take longer as it is reliant on the other party and their insurer.
I used to work in insurance and I am very pleased with the speed and efficiency that this was dealt with, and having made a motor insurance claim many years ago - this was a DREAM in comparison.
I moan a lot, so I just felt that I should take the time to be positive when I came across great customer services.
