What's it locked to?
A proper bike stand - bolted into the ground. That's in a secure compound which only cyclists (and the company receptionist) have a key too. The compound is covered by CCTV. The compound itself is within another compound that you can only enter with an employee swipe card. The whole site is MOD rated. If they were to insist on anything else then I'd think they were taking the "peace"

My bikes are specified named items under the household contents policy, just like my watch and wifes jewellery.
Most insurers will want you to name and specify high risk items over £1,000, but it should work out cheaper than getting individual cover.

If you go with Cycle plan check out the cover your excess feature. It may only cost a couple of pounds to have zero excess.

I have been with Marks & Spencer the past few years but their rates have gone way up, and their coverage has gone way down. It is still sufficient for most bikes, but if you have anything really high end (and I do) they really cream you.

M&S household contents insurance is provided by Axa. Make of this what you want.
