I've just left Bikmo and put my bikes in the house insurance for a fraction of the cost. FWIW their insurance is actually with Hiscox.

That'd partly explain the high cost. Hiscox's professional indemnity insurance is eye wateringly expensive!

When can you change your home insurer? What are the early exit penalties?
I'm with Aviva plus and there's no limit on single items like bikes

I phoned Aviva Plus and they were very helpful - the lady basically said that I don't have to specify that the cover is for a bike(s); I just need to ensure that I have the correct amount of cover and that it covers me for theft and accidental damage away from the home - is that the case with you too?

Yes mines pretty much unlimited as I have the Platinum cover or whatever it’s called
