Intelli panel - energy saving sockets

Has anyone bought any Intelli panel or plug?

Do they really work as described, and do they save enough energy to make the investment worthwhile?

I have one which is great for untrained wife's that love to leave stuff on standby. Using main telly as master once you put it in a standby state it turns off the other sockets. Good idea and I guess over some years will save you a few pennies. I dont think they make chunky savings, and would take a while to offset the original purchase but adds to your karma with the 'energy saving' brigade.

Our Sky Box uses around £20 a year, even on stand by. In fact, it uses exactly the same whether it's on or on stand by. So, if you have it turning off your Sky Box, that might make the pay back period shorter than you expected.
