Lots of these emerging at the moment - The twenty inch wheel urban runaround / mini cargo bike. All of them abandoning the swoopy modern folding bike aesthetic (of Dahon and their ilk) for a more modern 'designed' look for the Biba, a retro Raleigh Shopper vibe for the Wren and a form follows function industrial brutalism of the Donky.

I don't know if I should ride the last one with pride or embarrasment. I am not sure whether having donkey written on my bike is boasting or an insult ^_^

The Donkey reminds me of that disastrous Africar - designers with a cool idea completely fail to appreciate that looking nice is part of good design and that people won't use a product that looks awful.

It's the non-folding Raleigh Twenty all over again. And look at what a cult bike they are 40 years on.

As someone whose first "proper" bike was a Dawes Junior Kingpin I have a soft spot for this style of bike. (I'd have the blue one - Wren?).

If practical bikes like these become trendy and get more people cycling I'm all for it.

I think Africar failed due to an inability to manage finances... the concept and design, as i recall, was well recieved

The first two look fine. The Donky looks odd but has, it seems, the advantage that both front and rear racks are on removable sockets. That means other things could be attached...

I am already doing likewise with my Brompton with front and rear luggage blocks. I am also making matching sockets to mount other accessories.

I like the look of the hooligan, I've seen one before and they look like fun to ride. I'm not sure about the others though.
