'Interesting' Roads

Just out of curiosity, a repository for any photographs of your vehicles (past & present) on a road/track (with legal access) on a road that's either very steep, tight corners, flooded/fords, etc...

A tidal road alongside tn the Lune estuary, just south of Heysham/south-west of Lancaster

Possibly the most famous tidal road??

Holy Island/Lindisfarne
We visited Northumberland for a few days, last October, staying at Waren Mill

We returned out of curiosity, after a trip to Berwick-upon-Tweed, about 15:30, to 'no road'

Mortimer Road
aka; 'The Strines'

Eleven miles of tarmac between Snake Pass (A57) & the A616 (at Midhopestones/Langsett)
Interesting enough in a car, & a hell of a ride (in either direction) on a bike

It looks a fairly benign corner, in that picture

Sunderland Point is very atmospheric, always check the tide tables before crossing. On a bike you can usually escape along the beach except at very high tides.

I think the first time I went there was with my parents, 40 years or more, ago
Dad misread the time-tables (or simply didn't bother)
Cue a glowering silence from mum, for being stranded there
