Interesting Things in Hotel Rooms

Recently Easyjet announced that they were starting to fly from Belfast to Reykjavik. So I consulted with Mrs Vidor and decided we would take a few days there next spring. So I started researching hotels and I came across one which stated that all rooms come with an acoustic guitar.
On another occasion I was staying in Dublin and came back to the room to discover a small man in my bed. He was quickly removed, but came back shortly with management who then tried to remove me from the room. It was only resolved when I produced a receipt to prove I had booked and he was escorted elsewhere.
What other interesting things have you found in hotel rooms around the world?

The rather delicate and frilly underwear of the previous occupant(s)

When noted the reception explained that as the previous customers had only been there for one night, then the sheets would not have been changed!

They were promptly changed

sounds a bit like the episode in Three Men in a Boat, where after an evening of (ahem) fine dining, the guys (two rather than all three) both find a man in their bed in their shared rooms, then try and throw them out.....

On my first and only trip to Jakarta I dropped something on the bathroom floor and when I bent to retrieve it, I spotted a package taped up with vinyl tape and wedged behind the pipes under the sink. I didn't want to touch it and was pooping my pants at the thought that it might be drugs left by a previous occupant or planted to incriminate me so I went down to Reception and asked them for a change of room, which they gave me.

On my many trips to Africa I've found all kinds of wildlife including a frog in the shower, roaches, bed bugs, lizards, African pubes coiled up like watch springs in the bed... but never any frilly knickers. Once in the Lagos Sheraton I was given a nice plate of small biscuits covered in cling-film; picked the plate up to examine them and one of them scurried around... it was a very large cockroach!

One recent a trip to London, I found a family of three asleep in my room.

I stayed in a rather seedy hotel in Acapulco a long time ago. I woke up in the middle of the night to find that the bed was completely covered in cockroaches.

Found a bag of weed in the ITC Hotel, Amsterdam. I smoked it at the botanic garden, went back to the hotel and a family had checked out, taking my suitcase with them. I was stuck in Amsterdam wearing shorts and a t shirt cos I'd been in the tropical greenhouse. It was quite fun actually, I called work and said I'd be delayed, went out and got blotto drunk and booked in another hotel. The family apologised and sent my case on by courier.

Porn Mags, not found in a hotel room, but left by me.

On my honeymoon to Kenya I found 4 hard core porn mags had been stuffed in my luggage by my Best Man, as a joke. He claims he didnt know that pornography was illegal in Kenya. I had carried these mags on a plane through Heathrow and through customs in Kenya! (did you pack this bag yourself sirs?) I could have been in big trouble, so I left the mags under the bed for some unsuspecting guest to find! We were on a Safari, moving around loads of hotels, so I just wanted to jetison them asap.
