In the USA the base price is $649, the cheaper prices are on contract the same as here

I went into a BestBuy store last Friday afternoon to look at some fitness watches. All the little phone stations were lined up with customers about 3 deep and there were a couple of extra tables set up that were full as well. I asked the guy that was helping me with the fitness watches if there were always this many people wanting to buy phones. He said this might be this store's biggest phone sale day ever. I said why is that, he said the iphone 6 is released today and we have plenty of stock, with a big smile on his face. I said consumerism at its finest 
, I am still using my old EVO 4G, he said cool, come see me when you are ready for a new phone. He was a nice guy, I did like his attitude but I hope I don't need a new phone for a while. I do kind of like those big phones like Lebron James has though.

How is it ?
I am considering getting one of those as my very basic "smart" phone screen is too small for my podgy fingers even with big buttons app and the memory sucks,i cant have more than the basic stuff or the phone does not receive calls or texts .
