Is it worth the £10 entry fee and is anyone going?

I went last year, and as @Brandane says, it's definitely not worth it. Why should we pay to be assaulted by a load of sales people. Not what I expected at all.

If they want you 'enjoy' what they have to offer, why make people pay?
You just pay the hall costs..

I did a motorbike show at the NEC many moons ago and I left unimpressed.

I work in the venue: this show has new organizers from last year.
It is now full of expensive running kit and bike porn.
The only reason you should visit is if you;re in the market for a high end bike: all the major brands are there, you can test ride the bikes in the indoor track for as long as you want.

Shove worked, right up until the point where I ended up in a bush in a ditch (bike is ok aside from a bent mudguard, rider has some minor scratches on his face and arm.)
Next time please don't shove so hard

It was a close pass insofar as it was a narrow stretch of muddy farm access road (NCN7 between Highfield and Glengarnock), car coming the other way saw me and stopped, leaving what they felt was an appropriate amount of room for me to pass by. I went for it, only to discover that instead of muddy tarmac it was a muddy verge. The front wheel dug in and off I went, faceplanting aforementioned bush. I rode back with a rubbing mudguard and a suitably chastened riding style.

Sadly my scratches weren't visibly impressive enough to earn me any sympathy from my colleagues
